Description

COBIT® 5: Enabling Processes is an official complementary guide to COBIT® 5, and provides extensive guidance on the processes defined in the COBIT® 5 process reference model. As such, it is essential for any organization implementing the COBIT® 5 framework.

We also offer this official ISACA publication with the other core COBIT® 5 publications in our COBIT® 5 Publication Suite.

COBIT® 5: Enabling Processes includes:

  • COBIT® 5 Goals Cascade

The COBIT® 5 Goals Cascade, explained in the COBIT® 5 framework, is recapitulated and complemented with a set of example metrics for enterprise goals and IT-related goals.
  • COBIT® 5 Process Model

The COBIT® 5 process model includes 37 governance and management processes which succeed the COBIT® 4.1, Val IT and Risk IT processes, and includes all processes required for end-to-end treatment of governance and management of enterprise IT.
  • Process Reference Model

The process reference model was developed according to best practices, standards, and the opinion of experts. The model and its contents are generic and not prescriptive, and it has to be adapted to suit the enterprise. The guidance defines practices and activities at a relatively high level and does not describe how the process procedure is to be defined.
  • Detailed Process Information

The main section of the publication contains the detailed process information for all 37 COBIT® 5 processes in the process reference model.
