Buy one for your boss also! Even from the beginning of the book I was forced to rethink how my daily interactions with my business over the last while were in reality contributing to the eventual demise of my profession. The book challenges the reader, whether they are an IT analyst or a CIO, to review how their connections with their business partners. The "Curse of Knowledge" which refers to the fact that once we know something that knowledge makes it nearly impossible to imagine not knowing it, will not allow us to simply read this book and not move into action. Definitely a must read.

Fantastic book - Mr. Araujo is an writer with a talent for distilling into words the dramatic changes happening in the Information Technology industry. His "are you Walmart or Nordstrom" analogy is spot on and it really crystalized the binary nature of what IT is today. I have been a CIO for over 22 years and I have read literally hundreds of books on IT and I can say that The Quantum Age of IT is the best. Hands down! Every CIO and senior IT professional should read this book.
