Webinar: how can penetration testing support your GDPR project?

IT Governance has created a webinar to help organizations understand how penetration testing can help improve existing measures for securing personal information and complying with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Regular penetration testing can prevent cyber criminals from exploiting defects in web servers, browsers, email clients, point-of-sale (POS) software, operating systems, and server interfaces. Article 32(1) of the GDPR lists “a process for regularly testing, assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of technical and organisational measures for ensuring the security of the processing” as one of four measures explicitly suggested for organizations within scope to implement if appropriate to the risk – potentially making penetration testing an important part of GDPR compliance.

Learn about:

  • Penetration testing and its role in demonstrating GDPR compliance
  • How to implement technical measures to ensure data security and compliance with Article 32 of the GDPR
  • Why penetration tests are vital in uncovering vulnerabilities before cyber criminals do
  • How to meet legal and contractual requirements such as the GDPR and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), or conform to international standards such as ISO 27001
