The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), due to come into effect in May 2018, introduces an extensive set of rights for data subjects and new obligations for all businesses that collect and process the data of European residents, whether or not they are based in the EU.
Organizations that fail to comply with the Regulation face fines of up to 4% annual turnover or €20 million (approximately $21.3 million) – whichever is higher.
To comply, you will need to update your processes, policies and procedures, infrastructure, and systems, which can be time-consuming and requires appropriate skills and resources.

This month, we launched the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) survey, which is designed to evaluate organizations’ level of GDPR readiness in order to raise awareness of the GDPR’s impact and provide solutions and services that respond to the challenges faced by data protection/privacy professionals and information security teams.
Participate in our GDPR survey and win $350 for your own professional development
IT Governance would like to hear your views on what your business is doing, or planning to do, in order to achieve compliance with the GDPR. All responses are anonymous. Participants will receive a copy of the report with the results of the survey.
If you respond to the GDPR survey, you stand the chance of winning a voucher worth $350 for your own professional development or your compliance projects. The voucher can be used against any product or service purchased from IT Governance. The winner will be drawn at random.
