ISO 9001:2015 was published on September 30, 2015.
Nigel Croft, chair of the ISO subcommittee that developed and revised the Standard, explained: “We are just bringing ISO 9001 firmly into the 21st century.”
The revisions redesigned ISO 9001 to respond to the latest trends and aligned it with the Annex SL high-level structure, so that it can be integrated with other management system standards like ISO 14001.
Organizations have less than 17 months to transition
In 2015, organizations were given a three-year transition period to adopt the revised Standard.
That leaves less than 17 months to ensure your documentation is compliant with the requirements of the Standard and in place.
