The PRINCE2 Manual
This PRINCE2 manual (official title: Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2) is the core book for any PRINCE2 qualification- one of the most sought-after qualifications in the world of project management.
PRINCE- Projects in Controlled Environments- is a widely used project management method which navigates you through all the essentials for running a successful project.
Since its introduction in 1989 as a government standard for IT project management- PRINCE has been taken on by both the public and private sectors and is now recognised as a de facto standard for project management. PRINCE is a flexible method and- although originally designed for the management of IT projects- is now aimed at all other types of projects too.
(You can also purchase this book- along with other essential PRINCE2 reading- as part of our PRINCE2 Study Pack and Starter Kit. The PRINCE2 Study Pack & Starter Kit gives someone new to Project Management and PRINCE2- who might- perhaps- be considering the Foundation Certificate- a comprehensive introduction to the topic.)
The current version of the PRINCE method is PRINCE2 which was driven by user-based improvements- project management specialists and a review panel of 150 public and private sector organisations.
Follow this link if you would prefer to have a CD-ROM version of the manual.
This end result is a generic best practice tool which is flexible enough to be tailored to your organisation and used successfully for all types of projects. PRINCE2 was revised and updated to make it even more useful.
