Online Shop FAQs

Purchasing

All products can be purchased by credit card, through our North American payment provider's secure servers. We accept Amex, Mastercard, Visa and Discover. We also accept payment by Paypal. If you prefer not to place an order across the Internet, please email or telephone us (1 877 317 3454, as above) and we can take your credit card details by telephone, fax or email, as you prefer.

Non-credit card options

You can pay by PayPal - simply choose the Checkout with PayPal option when you reach the payment options screen in your checkout journey.

You can, if you prefer, also pay by bank wire transfer. This is how it works: you itemise exactly which items you want to purchase from us on one of your letterheads or by email, and then you fax or email it to us. It is essential that you include your telephone number, e-mail address and your own name on your order, so that we can contact you to finalise payment arrangements, which can be by direct wire transfer to our bank account.

Our fax number is in the UK and is: + 44 1353 662667. Once your payment has cleared our bank, we immediately despatch the goods to you, or e-mail you the download release code for what you have ordered, as the case may be.

Purchase by Purchase Order (PO)

We also happily accept purchases by Purchase Order (PO) from Federal and State government entities, and from corporations listed on a recognised North American stock exchange. Please email your PO to servicecenter@itgovernanceusa.com (or fax to + 44 1353 662667) and we'll take care of the rest.

US customers please note that IT Governance Ltd is a UK-based entity and is therefore an alien corporation for the purposes of US federal tax and we are properly registered with the IRS as an alien entity. We can provide you with a faxed/emailed copy of a W-8BEN form if you need it and we can (and regularly do) accept purchase orders from US government entities and corporations listed on recognised North American stock exchanges. If you need them, we can give you details of our NCAGE and DUNS reference numbers. Please email us if you need assistance or to send us a PO.

OGC Restrictions: ITILv3, M_o_R, MSP and Prince2 PDF Versions of Softcover books

PDF Publications

Unfortunately, we have to manually create PDF download links for all OGC publications ordered in PDF format and we can therefore only despatch them during UK office hours - 9am to 5pm GMT/BST, Monday to Friday.

There are a number of specific restrictions on the PDF versions of books published by the OGC, and these restrictions are enforced by a Digital Rights Management Technology.

  • Single download: users are only allowed one attempt to download the PDFs;
  • Six computers: authorizing Adobe Digital Editions with an Adobe ID means that when you purchase an OGC PDF, the PDF is automatically "tied" to your Adobe ID rather than your computer. This also allows you to access your OGC PDFs using your Adobe ID on up to six computers that have been authorized with Adobe Digital Editions.
  • Firewalls: you should be aware that many firewalls will block the download of PDFs (and zip files and so on)
  • Single use: OGC PDFs are not networkable, can only be printed once and cannot be copied, cut or pasted.
  • Adobe version: They can be viewed using Adobe Digital Editions

Here are the full HELP instructions for installing, activating and using Adobe Digital Editions for reading OGC pdfs or other eBooks in this format.

Online Subscriptions

Subscriptions for OGC products are annual, and are designed for individual identified users. You can purchase an annual licence online for one or more users, whose access to the OGC material will be controlled by user name and password.

Multi-user access

OGC publications are also available for multi-user online access and users are enabled to access the central OGC website for central access to the Complete ITIL Publication Suite. The online subscription replace the old ITIL CD-Roms and provides better viewing and access to the material and is, in most aspects, a preferable electronic medium for the ITIL material.

Access is managed centrally and any number of users can be provided with access details; once the purchased number of access licences is simultaneously active on the OGC site, further access will be prevented until one user logs out, thereby allowing another to log on. As a general guide, one concurrent user licence will support 10 core users of the material or 15 whose use is less frequent or spread geographically or temporally.

Multi-user access can be set up for any number of users, with access controlled through  IP authentication, which enables all those users behind a specified IP address (or addresses) such as a firewall, to access the material;

eBooks

We supply a range of products in eBook formats. Unfortunately, different book publishers have chosed different formats for their eBooks and this means that we usually have to arrange for download instructions to be sent by email, and the eBook user instructions may be vary.
